KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Stryker hip settlements will be paid to a large group of people who had the Stryker hip implant devices under a recent $1.4 billion dollar settlement.
Base settlements will be in the amount of $ 300,000.00 per claimant. People who had more significant complications and surgeries may be eligible for the enhanced award, which is expected to be around $ 500,000.00.
If you had the Stryker hip removed and replaced before November 3, 2014 or were too ill to undergo revision surgery, you are entitled to compensation.
You still have time to get your settlement even if you have not already filed a claim. People who suffer complications for the first time after these dates can still file a claim.
For your Stryker settlement claim, you are required to participate in the registration program.
Registration for the Stryker Settlement program will begin in December, 2014. Applicants will be required to supply a Claims Administrator with medical records that show they were implanted with a Stryker hip device, that the device failed due adverse local tissue reaction, and that the device with removed and replaced.
Qualified applicants should start receiving Base Awards in June or July of 2015. Enhanced awards will be paid several months later.
